In addition, the University reserves the right to remove a chosen name if it is deemed inappropriate (e.g., is offensive or derogatory), or if used inappropriately. WebChosen first names are limited to alphabetical characters, a hyphen, and a space. The chosen first name does not constitute a legal name change. Students or employees who wish to legally change their name must submit a legal name change document such as a court order or divorce decree.
