Let me start by saying that the setup on the … WebI mean that's what this guitar is at its core, a nice portable electric guitar with a built in amplifier and digital acoustic modeler (SRT) to deliver a high end acoustic sound with 3 built in effects - which are done nicely by the way, and I also appreciate the ability to control both the input (ipod) mix, and the mix between the natural pickup and the SRT.

WebIf the action is high and it's zinging when playing an open string, it's' likely something at the nut. Remove the string from the nut slot and take an old string and try to clean out any burrs in there and see if that helps. If it doesn't, look at your bridge saddle and make sure the string is properly seated there. 2. WebString volume differences are more likely to be related to the height of the pickups. Currently have an Electric City RD 59 in the bridge, and a Gibson '57 in the neck. With notes fretted it still sounds dead.

The ‘tinny’ sound comes from you not fretting all the way, and wasn’t a big problem in this clip.

My initial thought was that the nut slots for the e strings need to be tweaked. Over time they might have worn down the slots and the e strings might be affected more than the other strings.

If you have tuned your open strings but when you play notes or chords it sounds 'off' then your string lengths are likely to be wrong. For each string, play the harmonic at the 12th fret, then play the string fretted at the 12th fret.
